another area loses freedom of choice for its businesses
If you don't want to breathe in smoke, don't go in a restaurants that bother you. Allow the businesses to decide. If they decide to retain separate smoking and non-smoking sections, they obviously think that the effect of losing customers who dislike smoke is less than that of gaining (control freak) customers.
Hey, cigarette smoke sucks. and it might be nice to be in a restaurant where there is none. but find another place to frequent.
