Playwright Pinter's Acceptance Speech for $1.3 million

"very few people"? right...no one thinks America is to blame for many things. it's never discussed. that's right, everyone is blindly following the leadership of our great leader, George. that crafty America, escaping criticism!
--But while drama represents "the search for truth," Pinter said, politics works against truth, surrounding citizens with "a vast tapestry of lies" spun by politicians eager to cling to power.--
well that's certainly true and scary.
