"Little Mr. Apricot Flips Off Crowd, Loses Title" - cbs13
Ah, how I love human interest stories that are engineered to draw in media consumers with the bizarre. This news report is ridiculous. The 4yr old pageant winner thought he was showing the crowd that he was number one. Though he never intended to flick/flip the crowd off, none of the interviews (+ disgusting flashy local reporting) mention that it was a misunderstanding, to preserve the drama.
The female anchor gushy bubbles over the boy's cute smile just after a clip of the FOUR year old planted in front of his Xbox. He looks like a zombie, no cute smile at all. He has an Xbox directly in front of the bed in his room, and the walls are blank. [*rehab for video games?] There's a close up of his little fingers clenching his controller. Really sad. I'd like to slap his mother.
