US Senator Ted Steven's brilliant comments

They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the internet. And again, the internet is not something you just dump something on. It's not a truck.

It's a series of tubes.

And if you don't understand those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and its going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material.

Now we have a separate Department of Defense internet now, did you know that?
To appreciate it, one must read the entire transcript. Those bumbling words come from the Chairman of the US Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. At the bottom of the home page when I visited, the "Did you Know" blurb reads: "During World War II, Committee Chairman Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) piloted the C-46 and C47 with the 14th Army Air Corps Transport Section, which supported the Flying Tigers." Good thing federal tax money is being spent to highlight this idiot's military career!! Really freakin' relevant to Americans, and way more important than any other information that could have been chosen for that spot.

Hahaha, a humorous investigation of/response to the alleged sent "internet" in Stevens' stories. Ryan Singel from 27 BStroke 6 blog @ Wired
